White Mountains Insurance Group has elected Yves Brouillette as a company director.

Mr. Brouillette is a retired insurance executive. He spent most of his career as chief executive officer of insurance for ING in Canada and Latin America. He is currently non-executive chairman of ING Canada. He is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a member of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.

Chairman Ray Barrette said: "I am pleased to welcome Yves to our Board. With his track record of successfully acquiring and running property casualty insurance companies around the world, he will add significant value to our decision-making process at the board level."
