Bermuda's three banks is derived directly from locally-based international

According to the Archer Report in 1999 the Bermuda-based operations of the three banks earned a total of $239.8 million in foreign currency. Twenty percent of that or $47.8 million was received as fees from exempted and permit companies.
Several Bermuda International Business Association company members depend of international companies to gain most of their foreign currency.
In 1999 these companies received $212.3 million in total, $156 million of which were fees from international companies.
