Bermudian to be Executive Director of hospital in 1994

Hospitals Board and will replace Canadian Mr. Hume Martin when his contract expires in the summer of 1994.

Ms Sheila Manderson has served as administrator of the Permanente Medical Centre in Richmond, California, since 1988.

In this position she has responsibility over all administrative and operational activities associated with the acute care hospital, and the ambulatory care clinics, that serve a population of 65,000.

Ms Manderson received her high school education at the Berkeley Institute. She later earned a diploma in nursing from the Montreal General Hospital in Canada, and a MBA in Health Services Administration, from Golden Gate University in San Francisco.
