Getting their ACT together
(ACT) has announced the promotion of Bermudian Shari-Lynn Pringle to manager, materials management group. Mrs. Pringle will be responsible for the movement of all materials throughout the company. "She leads a team of five who are dedicated to the flawless execution and efficient movement of all materials,'' an ACT spokesperson said.
She joined ACT in 1996 as service administrator in customer service and prior to returning to Bermuda she spent ten years as a business analyst at Electronic Data Systems in Texas.
"The position of manager, materials management group was recently created in our continuous effort to improve the overall service we provide to both our internal and external clients,'' ACT general manager Richard Parker said. "I am delighted Shari has accepted this position and have no doubt she will embrace this challenge with her customary enthusiasm and vigour.'' Also introduced were three new employees to the company: David Jackson joins ACT's professional service division from the GridLink Corp in Alberta where he was vice president of operations; Russell Knight joined the service centre as junior technician primarily looking after Compaq and Hewlett Packard. A graduate of Whitney Institute, the Bermudian joins ACT from Works and Engineering and he is currently pursuing his MCSE Certificate; And Joanne Mills joined ACT as accounts payable administrator having spent the past 18 years in the reinsurance industry most recently at Hexagon Bermuda.
*** SHELL'S ROSE BLOSSOMS APP Shell's Rose blossoms The Shell Group of Companies in Bermuda announced the promotion of David Rose to oil products manager. Mr. Rose took over from Stanley Marshall who retired after some 40 years of service. Mr. Rose has worked at Shell since 1971 and has developed a wide knowledge of all aspects of the oil business.
*** BEESLEY ON THE MOVE APP Beesley on the move Mello Jones & Martin's former head of banking Sharon A. Beesley has moved to take up a fulltime position as an executive director of ISIS Limited and the ISIS Foundation, effective March 1.
Ms Beesley, a founding partner of ISIS, joins Managing Director Audette Exel and Dr. Charles Swart at ISIS Limited, the Bermuda consultant and insurance business which was set up two years ago to fund the costs of the charitable ISIS Foundation.
*** BSX APPOINTS PROCTER APP BSX appoints Procter Bermuda Stock Exchange issuer EarthPort.com announced that it has appointed Lyle Procter as a non-executive director.
Mr. Procter, 59, was the Reserve Bank of Australia's chief representative in North America from 1995 to 1998. Since retiring from there in 1998, he has been retained as a consultant to the International monetary Fund and the Australian banking industry. EarthPort.com plc, an e-commerce payment system, plans to recruit two more non-executive directors in the near future.

Nibouar is a 28-year veteran of the insurance industry with a diverse range of experience including reinsurance, underwriting and product management, field operations, business control and planning. Since 1995, he has been the principal of NICORE Reinsurance Consulting in Seattle, Washington, where he provided a broad spectrum of insurance and reinsurance advisory services.
Among his clients were insurance companies, brokers and programme administrators.
