Dreamward to add 500 berths to the ship.

And the move would mean the vessel will not be able to get in to Bermuda and berth alongside either Hamilton or St. George's docks.

Henry Hayward, president of Meyer Agencies, the ship's agents in Bermuda, said the plans were still "in the talking stages''.

Hayward said that the Norwegian Cruise Line, owners of the Dreamward , intended to add berths to the Windward .

Lloyd's of London reported recently that the line planned to stretch both cruise ships at a total cost of $120 million.

The article added that the company was presently negotiating a contract with Lloyd Werfert in Germany for the work which was the first step in a fleet expansion plan.

Although the possible size increase would prevent the Dreamward from visiting Bermuda, continued Mr. Hayward, the line was bound by contract to replace it with a vessel of similar quality as it continued visiting Bermuda until the 1999 cruise ship season.
