OIL, OCIL executives promoted
and Oil Casualty Insurance, Ltd. (OCIL) have taken on new titles, Jon King, president of both companies, said.
John Giavarini has been promoted to senior vice president, administration for OIL and OCIL.
His responsibilities include management and administration of staff and support functions within both companies. He joined OIL in 1986.
"The new title recognises that our businesses are growing both in terms of size and complexity,'' Mr. King said.
OIL senior vice president Douglas Kline and OCIL senior vice president Jack Wesley assume the additional designation of chief operating officer at OIL and OCIL respectively.
"These additional titles clearly designate that Messrs. Kline and Wesley are entrusted with the day to day management of the insurance operations of OIL and OCIL,'' Mr. King said.
Mr. Kline joined OIL in 1993 after 26 years with Sun Company in Philadelphia.
Mr. Wesley joined OCIL in April 1996 after 28 years at Shell Oil Company in Houston.
OIL, founded in 1971, is owned by 44 international petroleum companies and provides its members with insurance for physical damage to property, control of well and pollution liability.
OCIL was formed in 1986 and has 65 policyholders, 38 of which are also shareholders and provides excess general liability and directors and officers liability (D&O) insurance.
