has declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of $.06 per share. The dividend will be paid on December 8, 2000, to stockholders of record as of November 24, 2000.

PXRE also announced the retirement of Wilson Wilde from the board of directors. Mr. Wilde has served on the Board since 1986.

The company also announced the appointment of Halbert D. Lindquist to the board. Mr. Lindquist is the Senior Investment Officer for Blackstone Alternative Asset Management where he is responsible for managing a $1.5 billion fund of funds hedge fund portfolio.

He is also a principal of Tucson Asset Management, Inc. and Presidio Securities, Inc.
