Realtors return from convention in San Francisco

Annual Convention and Trade Exposition, held over four days at the Moscone Convention Centre in San Francisco.

Bermudian realtors mixed with 18,000 agents from around the world who attended the annual event, studying the latest software packages designed for the industry, together with training seminars.

Rego Ltd., one of the top local firms represented there, was led by president Buddy Rego. He said that his delegates, which included sales people Lyndy Thatcher and Albert Moura, were enthusiastic about the amount of new available information useful to the industry.

"We just joined the National Association of Realtors,'' Mr. Rego said, "and the convention featured speakers and seminars by top producers and top managers providing top sales techniques and about a thousand exhibitors.

"The technology and software applications are phenomenal. It was a worthwhile exercise from a realtors point of view to see the level of professionalism.

"The software products will help our agents keep much better track of the various types of properties and clients, and, will provide a broader package of information that allows for market comparisons. Our agents are even better informed to advise people.'' Rego Ltd. employs six agents out of a total staff of 15 providing advice on sales, rentals, valuations, insurance and mortgage.
