LUSAKA (Bloomberg) - Zambia State Insurance Corp., the southern African country's largest insurer, says it posted first-half profit of more than 10 billion kwacha, without giving comparative figures.

The state-run insurer's life and general insurance divisions contributed 10.5bn kwacha toward income in the six months ended on June 30, the company said in an e-mailed copy of a speech delivered in Livingstone by Managing Director Irene Muyengwa.
