Advances led declines four to one as the majority of the activity, as usual, was in the banking sector.

The leading advance was Bank of Bermuda Warrants, which rose $1.75 or 17.07 percent to $12 on volume of 93.

The only drop was Masters Ltd., which fell 50 cents or 7.69 percent to $6 on trading of 224 shares.

The largest volume was Bank of Bermuda, which closed unchanged at $35 after 27,709 shares changed hands.

Bank of Butterfield gained 50 cents and closed at $18 after volume of 26,203.
