^.^.^.as Clarendon thrives
Clarendon, declares president and CEO of the Phoenix Stores Ltd. George Grundmuller.
Clarendon Pharmacy on Bermudiana Road was bought by the Phoenix in June after the death of its owner Nick Price.
The once independent pharmacy gained a reputation for carrying several British product lines not available anywhere else on the Island. Mr. Grundmuller said the Phoenix would continue with these lines and would soon be adding their additional products to the store's stocks.
"Everything will continue as before but we will be renovating in November replacing fixtures here with those from Bermuda Pharmacy,'' he said.
"There are all new fixtures at Bermuda Pharmacy and they can hold much more stock than those in Clarendon,'' he added.
"The Clarendon fixtures are at least 20 years old.'' The opening hours of Clarendon Pharmacy will also be extended in November.
Instead of closing at 6 p.m. the store will remain open until 8 p.m. Evening staff from the Bermuda Pharmacy will man the extended Clarendon hours.
