Banks' share prices fall back

The Index dropped 21.32 points to close at 1,862.18 on volume of 68,224 shares and 2,580 bonds worth $1,359,562.55 Bank of Bermuda shares slipped 25 cents to $38.50, $1.50 off their high for the year, on vlume of 10,674 shares. Bank of Butterfield fell 70 cents to close at $17.75 on volume of 26,940.

Bermuda Commercial Bank shares dropped 95 cents to 13.67 percent to close at $6 on volume of 6,000 and BF&M Ltd. shares were down 25 cents to $6.50 on volume of 3,100 for the week.

Four issues gained for the week, with BF&M Ltd. preference shares gaining 50 cents or 5.56 percent to close at $9.50 on volume of 300 shares.

KeyTech Ltd. jumped $1.25 or four percent to close at $32.50 on volume of 400 shares while Belco Holdings Ltd. rose 45 cents to $19.95 on volume of 10,410.

Argus gained 25 cents to close at a high for the year of $17.75 on volume of 10,400.
