international and corporate banking at the Bank of Butterfield.

Mr. Price, who joined the bank in 1981 as a member of the International Department, has worked in several departments.

He is a member of the Insurance Advisory Marketing Committee and is vice president and treasurer of the Bermuda SPCA.

The bank has also appointed Ms Jeanette Cannonier OBE as deputy manager of administration, international and corporate Banking.

Ms Cannonier joined the Bermuda National Bank in 1970 and moved to the Bank of Butterfield following the merger of the two banks in 1980.

She became manager of the Reid Street branch in 1987 before joining the International Department last year.

Ms Cannonier was awarded the OBE in 1986 in recognition of her work as chairman of the Public Services Commission.

*** Mrs. Laurima Stovell , executive secretary to the brokerage department, and Mrs Sharry Hall , assistant to the manager of finance and administration, have both received recognition for their suggestions for improvements under the quality improvement and suggestion programme run by Sedgwick James (Bermuda), a captive management and brokerage company.

Ms Linda Sabia , an assistant broker with the firm, was also recognised under the company's educational incentive award scheme for her successful completion of one of the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters exams.
