Cancun seminar sparks interest
in a three-day seminar they are hosting in Cancun, Mexico, starting on Monday.
The Bermuda insurance brokerage subsidiary of Mutual Risk Management Ltd.
(MRM), Park International is holding the seminar in conjunction with ACE, XL, Starr Excess, Centre Re and Chubb Atlantic.
It will be in the form of a panel discussion dealing with all aspects of the Bermuda insurance market.
Panelists include chairman and CEO of XL Brian O'Hara, chairman, president and CEO of ACE Brian Duperreault, chairman and CEO of MRM Robert Mulderig, senior vice president of Starr Clint Greene and president of Centre Reinsurance (Bermuda) Ltd. Dan Malloy.
Also on the panel will be senior underwriters from the insurers, together with similar executives at Harrington International.

BUSINESSES TO MERGE BUC Businesses to merge Sphere Drake Insurance Plc announced its two London-based US excess and surplus lines businesses are being merged.
Sphere Drake Insurance Plc is Bermuda-based Sphere Drake Holdings Ltd.'s UK operating subsidiary.
The newly-merged division will be headed up by Michael Davies, who will join the company in December.
Mr. Davies, with Lloyd's of London for 29 years, has extensive underwriting and management experience in the surplus lines business.
The largest part of the company's excess and surplus lines division is the binding authority business started in 1984 by Peter Reeve.
Mr. Reeve, nearing retirement, has established Sphere Drake as the leading London market participant in this business, Bloomberg Business News service reported.
Sphere Drake executive vice president and chief underwriting officer Paul Philo said that Mr. Reeve will continue to play a "pivotal role'' in strengthening relationships and developing business.
Sphere Drake underwrites specialty lines of international property and casualty insurance and reinsurance through its London and Bermuda subsidiaries.
The company's business consists of a wide range of marine and aviation and non-marine insurance and reinsurance risks as well as alternative risk transfer business with an emphasis on US-based clients.
