And the only other visitor to the Island this week was the MV Fetisch carrying 838 rolls of newsprint for The Royal Gazette Ltd.

John S. Darrell spokesman Saleem Talbot said the newsprint ship arrived yesterday morning and was due to leave today.

Meyer Agencies spokesman Stephen Paynter said the Bermuda Islander arrived on Monday with 107 containers -- including 20 with Christmas trees and 11 which were refrigerated.

It left on Tuesday morning along with the Oleander which arrived on Sunday.

The Oleander offloaded 132 dry containers, 35 refers and four cars. Included were 26 containers of trees plus a few maffis carrying elevator parts, PVC pipes and structural steel.

And Mr. Talbot added that the 115-metre-long LPG tanker Emsgas was due to arrive in Bermuda tomorrow and berth at the ESSO oil terminal where she was due to off load 9,000 barrels of propane before departing the following day.

The carnival's over for youthful cruisers.

Starting with the new year, Carnival Cruise Line will ban passengers under 21 unless they are accompanied by someone over 25. The world's largest cruise company said other passengers complained of drunk, rowdy kids.

"The biggest complaints we get is on the spring-break cruises when people say the young people monopolise the ship,'' said Jeff Kivet, owner of Cruise Value Center based in East Brunswick, New Jersey. "It's always the few (who) make it bad for everybody.'' Kivet, who books about 8,000 cruise passengers a year, welcomed the change and expects other cruise lines to follow.
