Tourism Minister David Allen said talks were still on-going with Norwegian Cruise Lines over concerns that cabins designated for "cruise and stay'' holidays were being sold to regular guests. He had warned the line over any filling of the 250 cabins over their 1,500 regular passenger cap with normal customers, as opposed to keeping them for people on combined cruise and hotel holidays.
And in July, the new NCL chief executive Colin Veitch flew to the Island for talks with the Minister over the issue.
This week Mr. Allen said: "We are still in a process of negotiating with Norwegian Cruise Line a resolution...''
