Financial planning sessions popular

that begin tomorrow are so much in demand, the Chamber has had to cut off registration at 48 and plans to repeat the workshops in the future.

The sessions are being presented by senior financial consultant Ingrid McKenna with Emerald Financial Group and the sessions are free.

The concept is to have presentations from Ms McKenna tomorrow on an introduction to investing; financial planning issues all women need to be aware of; how to plan for education costs, home purchase and retirement income; and, making sense of the "buzz-words'' in investment products.

On Thursday, the second seminar takes a look at asset allocation; discusses the overseas investment allowance and procedures; and, explores how to realign one's portfolio for the coming year.

The workshops are scheduled between 12 and 1 p.m. lunchbreak at the Chamber boardroom in Hamilton.

The Chamber, which requested reservations, last week had not even completed its invitational mail out before the first workshop was full and the second was getting close to full.

There were indications that additional seminars may have to be scheduled for the future.
