Ms Gomes, a graduate of Brown University, began her underwriting career as a director and officers liability underwriter with Executive Risk in Simsbury, Connecticut.

She joins Chubb in Bermuda after over four years with Chubb & Son, most recently as a directors and officers liability and employment practices manager in Rochester, New York.

*** TeleBermuda International Ltd. has appointed Canadian Claude Bourque as vice-president product and business development. Mr. Bourque will assume operational responsiblity for TeleBermuda's service expansion and customer service.

He will also take over duties as spokesperson for the company from Ken Spurling, who is resigning at the end of a one year contract. Mr. Spurling said he intends to return to work in the financial services sector.
