Belco spokesperson Linda Smith told The Royal Gazette there were a number of reports of power outages, and one report of a pole down in the Frog Lane area.
"It's pretty much scattered all over the Island,'' she said, adding a number of extra crews had been called out to deal with the storm. Areas hit included Glebe Road, Daniel's Head, Angle Street and Mariner's Lane.
Police said a Christmas tree on Number One Shed on Front Street was left hanging by its string of lights. And a Mitsubishi stationwagon was damaged when a branch fell on it in front of the Supermart on Front Street.
