The three-day workshop -- attended by experts from a total of eight countries -- will help form the foundation for renewable energy sources for the future.
Under the spotlight will be hi-tech clean power generation -- using wind and wave energy, as well as solar energy.
Environment Minister Arthur Hodgson said: "All speakers will be asked to prepare a technical paper relating their specific renewable energy technology or topic and evaluating the technical feasibility to the Bermuda context.
"A book will be published, following the workshop, containing the technical papers and recommendations coming out of the workshop discussions.'' Mr. Hodgson said that the special workshop is aimed at the business community, as well as Government.
It is being jointly hosted by the Environment Ministry, Belco Holdings Ltd.
