waters around Bermuda were relatively calm with shipping movements.

Meyer Agencies reported that the Zenith arrived on Monday with 1,643 passengers on board, the Dreamward came with 1,441 passengers and the Meridian berthed in Dockyard on Tuesday with 1,347 passengers.

According to agents John S. Darrell the Song of America docked in Bermuda with 1,491 passengers and the Royal Majesty brought 1,023 people to the Island, berthing in St. George's as usual on Tuesday.

Elsewhere the Italians came to Bermuda when the new Italian Navy amphibious warfare ship, the Sangiusto stopped over for five days.

The warship berthed in Hamilotn Harbour last Friday and left on Tuesday giving the crew some rest and relaxation.

And making a brief stop-over in Bermuda was the US-bound MV Harriet Maru which came to the Island on Tuesday night.

She berthed so her Captain could pick up charts and Admiralty publications for her voyage to Alabama in the United States.

The cargo ships arrived on schedule bringing a total of 339 containers to the Island.

The Somers Isles arrived on Sunday with 115 containers as well as well as 12 cars, two boats and one jet ski. It also carried 22 bundles of lumber.

On Monday the Bermuda Islander docked with 77 containers and the Oleander arrived with 147 containers, as well as 12 cars.

Tomorrow The Starship is due to arrive in Bermuda to discharge its cargo of cement.
