Lecture on slave story
the controversial experience of a Bermuda-born slave.
In the early 19th century slave Mary Prince related her experiences in Bermuda, the Turks, and Antigua to a white woman named Susanna Moodie.
Ms Moodie later transcribed the account into the work "The History of Mary Prince'' published in 1831.
This work will form the discussion point for the lecture "Bermudian Slave and English Gentlewoman: Relating Mary Prince and Susanna Moodie''.
Dr. Sandra Campbell, a lecturer of the University of Ottawa, will give the presentation on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
The lecture is part of the continuing Celebration of Black History Month and Education Month.
