as part of her professional body's insistence that members give back to their communities.

Cindy Swan, managing director of Bermuda International Professional Organisation, said: "I run workshops in time management, records management and filing systems -- generally, anything which reduces stress in the office space.'' Mrs. Swan said her governing body, the US-based National Association of Professional Organisers, asked members to run a community-based project in October.

She added: "I'm enjoying doing this service and I hope it will be an annual thing which will go from strength to strength.

"I want it to get bigger and hopefully I'll be able to bring in top presenters from overseas and get more people from the Island to take part.'' The event, Go Week -- Make Organising Your Business, starts tomorrow with a church service at the Anglican Cathedral in Hamilton. And Government and business are backing the event, with Premier Pamela Gordon reading a lesson, as well as representatives from local business, international business and tourism taking part. Opposition Leader Jennifer Smith will also participate.

The event is being sponsored by Mrs Swan's firm, with assistance from the Ministry of Development and Opportunity.

Monday and Tuesday will see five minute TV spots covering health and pensions, featuring Dr. Meng Tan and Assistant Finance Secretary Peter Sousa.

And on Wednesday, a series of free workshops will be held at the Anglican Cathedral Church Hall. These will cover organising a business plan, investments, desk and time management, and tax.

The new Government pension scheme will also be explained, along with the importance of a proper business plan. That will be followed by Dr. Tan discussing health organisation and diabetes prevention.

Mrs. Swan said: "I'm starting off with a church service, not that I'm a religious fanatic, but I believe the first order of business life is to give thanks to whatever spiritual leader you follow.'' She added: "Making sure your health is organised is vital because if you're not healthy, you can't perform.'' Mrs Swan said 12 CedarBridge Academy students with an aptitude for business had been invited to take part in the church service.

She explained: "They will be Bermuda's future business people -- everything I do, I try to include the youth. They're the business people of tomorrow and exposing them to a business arena of this kind is very good for them.'' She added the CedarBridge pupils and Bermuda College students would also attend the workshop sessions.

The Anglican Cathedral church service starts at 11 a.m. tomorrow. The two TV talks will be broadcast on Monday and Tuesday, just after the VSB 7 p.m. news.

The free "Make Organising Your Business'' workshops start on Wednesday, running from 10 a.m. to noon and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
