Government officials met with a community group this week to discuss the future of the recently claimed property at the West End.
The meeting was a continuation of discussions between the Bermuda Land Development Company and the Sandy's Community Action Committee.
BLDC chairman Vincent Ingham said the company would like to work with the SCAG and create a community centre in one of the buildings on the site.
However, he said operations offering adventure travellers things to do were being pursued primarily as they were the booming sector of tourism at the moment.
The scuba diving operation was one idea being looked at and others include snorkelling, kayaking and hiking.
