Yacht towed out
Island with the remnants of a yacht that was damaged in a fire.
The 90-foot fishing trawler the Osprey came to Bermuda on November 11. She specialises in finding and towing damaged or abandoned vessels.
Last month a team of 25 firefighters worked to put out a fire aboard the American registered vessel the White Hawk at Penno's Wharf. The firefighters came from both the Central and Clearwater stations and the St. George's Volunteer brigade.
Meyer Agencies also reported that Somers Isles arrived on Sunday from Fernandino Beach, Florida with a total of 103 containers, ten of which were refrigerated.
There was also some loose cargo composed of 43 bundles of lumber and plywood as well as one truck body and two boats.
The vessel sailed back to Florida on Monday.
Additionally, Bermuda Islander arrived on Monday morning with 114 containers, 10 of which were refrigerated. She sailed for Salem, New Jersey on Tuesday.
Container Ship Management said Oleander arrived on Sunday and left on Tuesday with 114 dry and 39 refrigerated containers.
There was also one 40-foot Mafis on board as well as two steel tanks seven bundles of steel and 22 cars.
John S. Darrell reported that the Canadian Forces Oceanographic vessel Quest arrived on Tuesday and docked at Ordnance Island. The ship left yesterday.
Harnett and Richardson reported that the 580-foot car ship Cosmos Venture came from Haiti yesterday morning with 91 cars and 56 cases of car parts and docked at Number Seven Dock in Hamilton. She sailed to the Bahamas yesterday afternoon.
