AIG plane unit seeks loan

NEW YORK (Bloomberg) — International Lease Finance Corp., American International Group Inc.'s plane-leasing unit, said it was seeking a $750 million loan to refinance debts. The loan will be secured against aircraft and related leases, ILFC said in a Business Wire statement yesterday. The company gave no details on the planned terms for the loan or whom it would seek the funds from. The lessor is seeking loans less than a week after being cut to junk status by Fitch Ratings on concerns about whether AIG would continue to provide support.
