Insurer Alea Group Holdings (Bermuda) Ltd has named Jeffrey Rosenthal as successor of Mark Cloutier as president and CEO with effect from April 1, 2010, it revealed on yesterday.

Mr. Cloutier resigned with effect from March 31, 2010 as CEO.

With almost four decades of experience in the financial services industry, Rosenthal comes to Alea after many senior leadership positions at Fortress Investment Group, Starwood Capital Group and KPMG. Alea, whose property and casualty operations are in run-off, was acquired by Catalina Holdings (Bermuda) Ltd. last October.

Catalina acquires and manages non-life insurance and reinsurance companies and portfolios in run-off.
