Aon pays tribute to executive Fung
Aon Corporation has paid tribute to one of its top executives in Bermuda during the 1980s following his recent death.
Bernard Fung died in Hong Kong last month, having lived in Bermuda three decades ago and been an executive with one of the company's predecessors based on the Island.
Mr. Fung was well-known in the local community, developing many business and personal relationships during his time in Bermuda. At the time of his death, he was the chairman and CEO of Aon Asia Pacific and a member of Aon Corporation's executive management committee.
Greg Case, president and CEO of Aon Corporation, said: "Much like Bernie's leadership, compassion and enthusiasm, his passing will be felt deeply across our firm. Personally, I have lost a great friend and mentor. Bernie represented the rarest combination of a compassionate leader, a man of deep insight and a friend to all of us. He understood with ease all those he encountered, and helped us all to become better people."
Mr. Fung leaves behind his wife Sandy and daughters Nicki and Stephanie.
