Appleby has appointed Rory Gorman as managing director of Appleby Services (Bermuda) Ltd.

Mr. Gorman joins the law firm having previously worked as head of office and managing director of Marsh Management Services (Bermuda) Ltd., and most recently as chief operating officer of Attorney's Liability Assurance Society Ltd., a mutual insurance company providing professional liability insurance to US law firms.

Former managing director Wayne Morgan will take on a consultancy role within the group to ensure a smooth handover.

"With his strong professional and management background he will be instrumental in strengthening and developing the brand of our corporate and trust administration practices, in alignment with the group's strategic objectives."
