Bermuda-based Argo Group International Holdings, Ltd. has consolidated its professional liability insurance underwriting operating units into a new stand-alone professional lines business called Argo Pro.

The new business, which will comprise the operations of Colony Professional Lines and Insight Insurance Services will be led by recently promoted president John Keane, who was previously senior vice-president of Colony Professional Lines.

Argo Pro will conduct business within Argo Group's excess and surplus lines segment and will be comprised of the allied medical, errors and omissions and environmental divisions.

Argo Group recently acquired Insight Insurance Services Inc., a specialist in professional liability insurance for accounting professionals, architects, engineers and insurance agents.
