Argus climbs 6.9%
Local stocks enjoyed a second positive day, as three domestic companies traded higher.
Argus Group Holdings Ltd. was the biggest climber of the day on the biggest volume. The insurer and investment company gained nearly seven percent yesterday, on a climb of 45 cents, to close on $6.95, after 20,080 shares were traded.
Bermuda Commercial Bank gained 3.3 percent as 9,400 shares changed hands. BCB rose 32 cents to $9.87.
Telecommunications company KeyTech Ltd., the owner of Bermuda Telephone Company, climbed four percent, or 30 cents, to $7.80, as 870 shares traded.
Butterfield Bank also saw some trading activity, with 5,900 shares changing hands, but it remained unchanged on $1.35.
The Royal Gazette / Bermuda Stock Exchange Index rose 20.63 points, or 1.6 percent, to end the day on 1,297.18.
