The market for new insurance companies starting up in Bermuda dried up last month with no new firms incorporating on the Island during August.
This follows only two companies being launched in July, with the numbers having peaked in May and June as five companies respectively set up in business for each month, according to the latest statistics released by the Bermuda Monetary Authority.
Overall 26 companies have been incorporated in Bermuda so far this year.
