Bank of Bermuda names four new heads of department

The Bank of Bermuda yesterday announced that Linda Sutherland has been promoted to head of HSBC Securities Services.

Ms Sutherland's new position was among four management changes announced by the bank.

She will also take a position on the bank's management committee.

"As head of HSS, Linda Sutherland brings with her more than 15 years of fund administration experience," the bank said in a press release.

"Linda has held of number of different positions at the Bank since joining in 1989 with her most recent being the Head of HSS Management Services division."

The bank also announced that Neville Grant has been promoted to head of Business Banking. Mr. Grant has been with the bank for ten years.

"Neville will be responsible for a team of relationship managers who service commercial banking clients including construction companies, local retail and commercial businesses, partnerships and unincorporated entities," the bank said.

Trina Roberts will be assuming the role of head of the Small Business Centre, the position Mr. Grant held until his promotion.

"Trina has worked in various divisions within the Bank including Credit, Corporate Banking and Personal Financial Services during her 19-year tenure with the bank," the press release said.

"As head of the Small Business Centre, Trina is looking to expand the range of products and services available for entrepreneurs and smaller commercial clients."

Finally, Donna Driscoll has been appointed to the newly formed role of head of marketing and product development. She joins the bank from John Hancock Financial Services where she was senior vice-president of brand management and corporate communications. "Donna brings with her more than 20 years of marketing experience from consumer packaged goods as well as the financial services industry," Bank of Bermuda said.

"Donna will primarily be responsible for the ongoing development and execution of the marketing and product development strategy for Bank of Bermuda."
