BAS the high flier
Bermuda Aviation Services Ltd. was the highest flier on The Royal Gazette / Bermuda Stock Exchange yesterday, soaring 13.3 percent.
The airport services company saw its share price rise 70 cents to $5.95, as 3,000 shares traded.
BAS was the only issue to rise in yesterday's trading and helped the BSX Index just into positive territory, as it climbed 3.59 points (0.1 percent) to close on 3,495.23.
LOM (Holdings) Ltd. was very actively traded, as 19,500 shares changed hands. The investment company fell five cents (1.28 percent) to close the day $3.85.
Insurer and pension provider BF&M Ltd. fell 15 cents (0.88 percent) to $16.85.
Butterfield Bank was unchanged on $10.95, after 20,000 shares traded, and power company Belco Holdings Ltd. remained unchanged on $16 as 300 shares changed hands.
The BSX Insurance index of leading Bermuda insurers declined 0.55 percent to close on 808.86.
