Energy provider Belco Holdings Ltd. pushed local stocks higher yesterday, as its share price rose 0.6 percent.

Belco rose 10 cents to close on $16.35, on the trading of 3,900 shares.

Two other domestic companies traded without changing value.

Devonshire Industries Ltd. saw 1,360 of its shares change hands and remained on $12.50.

Butterfield Bank stayed on $5.45 after 1,142 shares traded. The Royal Gazette / Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) Index rose 1.83 points, or 0.1 percent, to close on 2,363.23.

Volume was 6,402 and turnover was $86,952.
