A busy day of trading saw the Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange close 23.58 point higher (0.53 percent) at 4,462.61.

Bermuda Press (Holdings) Ltd. took the biggest hit of the day with an 18.51 percent drop in share value, with 324 shares traded to close at $11, down $2.50.

KeyTech also took a hit with 8,000 shares trading to see the stock close at $12.50, down $0.50 (3.84 percent).

BELCO fared better with a 7.89 percent rise ($1.50) to close at $20.50.

In insurance stocks, Argus also saw a small rise (2.83 percent) to close at $14.50 with 1,000 shares traded.

Devonshire Industries traded 9,600 shares yesterday, closing at $13.75, up $0.25 (1.85 percent).

And the Butterfield Bank traded 3,000 shares but closed unchanged at $14.50.

The Bermuda Insurance Index closed up 2.54 at 1,005.29.
