BIBA heads to Hong Kong

Far Eastern investors were given an insight into the benefits of doing business in Bermuda by the latest The Bermuda International Business Association-led (BIBA) delegation to visit the GAIM Asia 2009 Conference held in Hong Kong.

The delegation included Vicki Coelho, general manager of North Rock Communications and chairman of BIBA, and Cheryl Packwood, CEO and Susan Stirling, director of marketing for BIBA, as well as Stephen Castree and Andrew Black from Equinoxe Alternative Investment Services and Anthony D'Silva of Apex Fund Services.

In addition to attending the conference, which had more than 300 attendees, BIBA sponsored a presentation on Bermuda at the event, hosted by Frances Woo and Judy Lee of Appleby's Hong Kong office.

The presentation focused on the strength of legal and regulatory framework in Bermuda and offered investors insight on unique benefits to doing business on the Island.

The Bermuda International Business Association, in conjunction with the American Chamber of Commerce, will be holding Bermuda's Annual Financial Services Reception and Briefing tomorrow at The Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong.
