Bermuda Learning Solutions Ltd. (BLS) has expanded is global reach, with chief learning consultant Pamela Simons preparing to return to her home base in Toronto, Canada after 10 years on the Island.

"During the past 10 years, while living and working in Bermuda, I have had the opportunity of seeing the inner workings of many organisations and providing them with corporate training and development services," said Ms Simons.

"Bermuda Learning Solutions and I are grateful for having developed some close relationships and valued clients.

"It will seem strange to be able to continue to assist the Island with its corporate learning needs when I am not 'on de rock'.

"Toronto is only a short flight away. Anyone who needs to see me face-to-face may arrange that. However with new learning technology and use of Internet, the anytime, anywhere philosophy is more than just a pipe dream, it is the reality of how work gets done - better and faster.

"I believe as BLS clients become more Internet savvy, they will look to have e-learning, remote learning and online or telephone coaching, as targeted approaches to challenges or employee growth. This blended approach is becoming more accepted as a better use of training dollars."

Senior learning consultant and coach, Naomi Schroter, will still be on hand for clients' training needs assessment and delivery.

"Pamela and I are used to working together, via Skype, Windows Live, and teleconferencing," said Ms Schroter. "We see this change as an exciting opportunity for Bermuda Learning Solutions to have access to wider resources.

"We will continue to source our best local and overseas associates to provide clients with the support and expertise they may not have in-house. Our goal is to provide them with the right solutions at the right price".

BLS has also appointed a new associate, with Cheryl-Lynn Thompson, a customer service specialist certified by the American Management Association in Customer Service. Ms Thompson will provide a wide variety of service solutions from assessing service skills to spot coaching and delivering full service training to organisations.
