BMA mourns Harry Wilken

The Bermuda Monetary Authority's CEO Jeremy Cox has paid tribute to Charles Harry Wilken following his sudden death on Sunday.

Mr. Cox said the BMA had enjoyed a "long and cordial association" with many of its staff knowing him both personally and professionally over the years.

"It was with great shock and sorrow that we learned of Harry's passing," he said. "Regardless of the capacity in which you interacted with him, he was always forthright with his views and passionate in his support for Bermuda's international business sector.

"His presence and impact on the industry will without doubt be missed, but it is likely that the loss of his support as a friend, as well as his unique and affable personality, will be felt even more by his friends and colleagues. On behalf of all the staff of the BMA I extend our sincere condolences to Harry's family, and all his colleagues both in Bermuda and overseas."
