BNTB hits new 52-week low

Butterfield Bank shares fell to a new 52-week low yesterday, dropping $0.25 to close at $12 after 135,868 shares were traded. The bank's two percent stock drop helped the Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange to a -37.74 point dip on the day.

The BSX closed at 3,887.17, falling 0.96 percent.

West Hamilton Holdings stock jumped $0.20 yesterday after 200 shares were traded, closing at $13.20.

Bermuda Aviation Services also received a boost, rising 11.11 percent ($0.60) to close at $6 after 500 shares changed hands.

The only other active stock was Belco, which closed unchanged after 25 shares were traded.

The Bermuda Insurance Index gained 3.66 point yesterday to close at 931.
