BSX flat for week
Local stocks were virtually flat last week as Butterfield Bank's rise was offset by falls for Argus Group Holdings Ltd. and KeyTech Ltd.
The Royal Gazette / Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) Index dropped 3.92 points, or 0.19 percent, over the five days of trading, to close on 2,048.98.
Butterfield Bank was the most heavily traded stock, with 41,943 shares changing hands, as it advanced five cents to $3.40.
Twenty-three of Butterfield's preference shares also traded, as the price remained unchanged at $1,225.
Argus fell 3.3 percent on light volume, the insurer shedding 30 cents to close on $8.70, as 600 shares were exchanged.
KeyTech, owner of the Bermuda Telephone Company, slipped five cents, or 0.6 percent, to close on $8.75, as 14.300 shares traded.
Both insurer BF&M Ltd. and media company Bermuda Press (Holdings) Ltd. remained unchanged after each traded 4,800 shares.
BSX trading volume for the week was just shy of 67,000 shares, while combined Bermuda dollar and US dollar turnover totalled a little more than $442,000.
