BSX plunges 3.7% to two-month low
Bermuda Commercial Bank (BCB) plunged 43 percent on a negative week for the Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX).
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index plunged 84.87 points, or 3.7 percent, to close the week on a two-month low of 2,283.06.
BCB dipped $4.15 to close on $5.50 on the trading of 2,308 shares, while Butterfield Bank also fell five cents, or one percent, to close on $4.90.
Insurer and pension provider Argus Group Holdings Ltd. also took a tumble, shedding 85 cents, or 8.5 percent, to close on $9.15, as 2,100 of its shares traded.
Bermuda Telephone Company owner KeyTech Ltd. saw its stock fall by five cents, or 0.6 percent, during the five days of trading, as 6,600 shares changed hands. Butterfield Bank's preference shares also dipped by $25, or two percent, to $1,225, as 191 shares traded.
Bermuda dollar turnover was $182,752.80, on a volume of 29,344.
US dollar turnover for the week was $262,080.75, on a volume of 2,630 shares.
