LONDON (AP) — Warren Buffett's investment company, Berkshire Hathaway Inc., has raised its stake in British grocer Tesco PLC to just above three percent.

Tesco notified the London Stock Exchange yesterday that Berkshire Hathaway now holds 242 million shares, or 3.02 percent.

Tesco is the world's third-largest retailer. The company's shares were up one percent in midday trading on the London Stock Exchange.
