Butterfield Bank strengthened again yesterday in trading on the Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange.

The bank saw 24,455 shares traded and closed at $12.40, a $0.25 or 2.05 percent rise on the previous day.

The only other stock active on the exchange yesterday was Argus with 635 shares changing hands to close unchanged at $11.

Overall the BSX was up 43.68 points (1.16 percent) to close at 3,820.17.

The Bermuda Insurance Index fell 4.71 percent yesterday, however, closing at 750.84.
