Butterfield Bank shares fell 1.3 percent yesterday to pull the local stock market lower.Butterfield slid two cents to $1.47, as 13,519 shares changed hands.The only other domestic board issuer to trade was Ascendant Group Ltd., owner of Belco, which remained unchanged on $14.99, as 400 shares were exchanged.

The Royal Gazette / Bermuda Stock Exchange Index fell 9.57 points, or 0.75 percent, to 1,260.82.
The BSX Insurance Index of the Island's leading international insurance companies fell four points, or 0.4 percent, to close the week on exactly 1,000 points.
