Capital G hires Bermudian Johnson

Capital G Bank yesterday announced two senior management appointments in Bermudian John Johnson and West Point trained US Army veteran Anthony Hylton.

Mr Johnson joins Capital G as the chief operations officer (coo) of the Capital G Investments Company. He will be involved in operations, sales and bank investment portfolio management. He will also serve on the bank's Asset and Liability Committee.

Mr Johnson has more than 17 years of experience in investment management services, most recently as portfolio manager for WP Stewart & Co Ltd. in Bermuda.

Mr Hylton will serve as vice-president of card operations at Capital G. Mr. Hylton, who has more than 14 years experience in the banking industry, is a graduate of the US Military Academy West Point and a veteran of the US Army. He most recently served as the vice-president, bank cards at Fifth Third Bank where he managed the debit, prepaid, small business credit and emerging payments lines of business. He was the senior product manager responsible for all aspects of the product portfolios.

John Kephart, president and chief executive officer of Capital G, said: "With the announcement of these key members on the Capital G team and the launch of our new Business Banking division we are fuelling the momentum to be recognised as a full-service bank."

In November Capital G appointed two new senior managers when Bermudian Barbara Tannock was made head of private banking and Canadian Roderick Goom joined the bank as a consultant in credit review and lending.
