The Bermuda International Chapter of the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (CPCU) Society held their New Designee Reception at XL House, an event sponsored by the XL Foundation. The guest speaker was the president of the worldwide CPCU Society Mr. Marvin Kelly. He is the first CPCU Society president to have participated in the Bermuda Chapter event.

He was introduced by president of the Bermuda International Chapter of the CPCU Society Erica Symonds, who is also an underwriter in the Excess Liability department of XL Insurance (Bermuda) Ltd.

Mr. Kelly said: "It is important for all of our members to realise that we are a global community, and diversity includes embracing the international chapters. The focus on ethics is an international theme that all members should never take lightly. Our credibility is based on our ability to adhere to the highest ethical standards. Our pledge to the Society is more than a theme, it is a way of life for our members."
