Flybe outlines float plans

LONDON (AP) British regional airline Flybe says it plans to raise £60 million ($93.2 million) in new shares in a float on the London Stock Exchange.

Flybe Britain’s largest domestic airline said yesterday that half the net proceeds will be used to expand its fleet of aircraft.

British Airways PLC, which holds 15 percent of Flybe, has said it intends to maintain its share after the listing.

Flybe specialises in short flights across Britain, using smaller aircraft than other airlines. It has codeshare arrangements with BA and Air France that give it around 7.2 million passengers across 215 routes.
