Government matters for businesses

From payroll tax, social and health insurance to customs duties and company registration for small business owners and entrepreneurs.

Those are just some of the topics set to be tackled at Government Benefit Matters, run by the Bermuda Small Business Development Corporation and held at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess hotel today between 5.30pm and 7.30pm.

The event will address the issues of Government regulation and legislation and how they affect small to medium-sized businesses and will feature guest speakers from the Office of the Tax Commissioner, the Customs Department, the Department of Social Insurance and the Registrar of Companies.

The meeting costs $50 per person, with the first 50 people to register getting in free. Snacks will be provided.
