HWP launches new discount scheme for BIU members

The HWP Group has announced the launch of a new automotive discount scheme for Bermuda Industrial Union (BIU) members to help them in these tough economic times.

The company, which already has a number of BIU members on its books, has extended its discount programme to allow all of the Union's members to enjoy preferential rates.

Effective from yesterday, all 3,700 BIU members will be issued with the HWP Group/Bermuda Industrial Union Discount Card that will provide discounted and preferential rates on cars, motorcycles, auxiliary cycles, automotive and cycle parts and labour.

The discounts will include five percent off new motorcycle and auxiliary cycle sales, five percent off automobile parts, cycle parts and labour, and $500 off automobiles.

Jonathan Brewin, CEO, HWP Group, said: "In a difficult economy we realise the importance of offering help wherever we can, as such we are delighted to enable Bermuda Industrial Union members the opportunity of purchasing the very best cars and bikes on the island, at a very competitive price.

"We have a fantastic range of products and with further discounts on parts and labour BIU's valued members will be well looked after not only now, but in the future."

Chris Furbert, president of the BIU, said: " Our members will be very pleased to be working with HWP in this way. It not only gives our members access to cost savings but also reinforces our longstanding relationship with one of the key employers in Bermuda."
